Updated Notice: Building Permit Requirements
Ida County now requires building permits for all houses and outbuildings in rural areas. There are no fees for these permits.
- In Town: Obtain permits at City Hall.
- Country / Unincorporated Areas: Print the permit from below or pick up a permit from the Assessor’s office in the Ida County Courthouse. Return permits to the Assessor’s Office.
While agricultural permits are mandatory, they are used strictly to gather statistical data for county assessment purposes and will not be used to restrict or regulate farming operations.
